As a traditional Asian American, Steve was “told” to study to become a medical doctor. Eventually, after finishing his premedical program at University of California’s Biomedical Science, Steve moved to Las Vegas to pursue his passion: hotel administration program at University of Nevada Las Vegas to become a hotelier. Steve excelled in academics as well as in gaining real hotel working experience. His first job was at the Venetian Resorts in Las Vegas as a 13-months intern during their pre/post opening period, which eventually landed him a permanent position in VIP Services. With great support of his mentor at the Caesar’s Palace, Steve and his mentor were selected as mentor/mentee of the year via UNLV’s hotel administration program.

Upon graduation, Steve received a direct placement by the Starwood Hotels & Resorts to open the St.Regis hotel in Los Angeles. His humble personality and his strong work ethic allowed him to work in some of the finest hotels in the world, such as Raffles L’Ermitage Beverly Hills, as well as The Peninsula Beverly Hills as a director of communications. His past of listening to guest needs and exceeding those needs has definitely spilled over to his successful recruiting at dd factor.
